| Biography: |
Named State Player of the Year for 2007-08 after leading Ferris to its second-straight undefeated season and state title. Drawing recruiting interest from WSU, Gonzaga and others but has academic issues to clear up. He averaged 14.6 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks per game in 07-08. He averaged 18.7 points in nine postseason games and was named the most valuable player in the Eastern regional. In the Class 4A state tournament, he set a record with 25 blocks in four games, including a record-tying eight in the championship game.
An all-State forward two years running, he left tiny Freeman High in order to play at 4A Ferris High, then left Ferris to play at Seattle's Franklin High before returning to Ferris. Earned first-team all-classifications All-State honors by the Seattle Times during his 2006-07 junior season -- a season in which Ferris didn't lose a game (29-0) en route to the state Class 4A title. He averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks per game. Tremendous leaper with nice three-point shooting touch. |
