The Philadelphia Catholic League title was up for grabs and La Salle and St. Joseph’s Prep were ready to dig in and beat each other to a pulp at Northeast High School. Downingtown has always produced collegiate level signal callers and even though the high school split years ago, both programs have continued to churn out great quarterbacks that go onto successful college careers. Scout.com has been out to watch stars play for or against North Penn like Anthony Gonzalez, Corey Majors, J.D. Dzurko, Jarrod West and many others, however every time we see the Knights the man blowing it up on the field is junior running back Craig Needhammer. Neshaminy High School has a proud tradition of winning football and is one of the best programs in the state of Pennsylvania. Todd Thomas was a huge get for Dave Wannstedt and the Pittsburgh Panthers in last year’s recruiting class. The talented Beaver Falls athlete had offers from just about everyone.
