Majors Playing in Chesapeake Bowl

Neshaminy head coach Mark Schmidt will be coaching in the Chesapeake Bowl this December and they have decided to have him bring his star linebacker along with him in Corey Majors, who we talked to on Monday evening.

Corey Majors, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound middle linebacker from Neshaminy High School just gave his verbal commitment to Villanova and received another honor on Monday when he got invited into the Chesapeake Bowl.

“I’m definitely excited to play in the bowl and go up against other really talented players to see where I fit in,” Majors stated. “It’s going to be a lot of fun going against other great players and then it’s a learning experience at the same time too. I know I’m going to meet other players like Quinton Alston, Jamal Abdur-Rahman and other guys I know in person that will be my teammates too, so I’m looking forward to it.”

The Chesapeake Bowl will be played on December 30th and will put the North against the South. The North team is represented by players picked from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and the South team is comprised of players from Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia and Virginia. The location of the game has not been decided yet, but should be announced shortly and all participants will go home with their own personalized jersey and a custom bowl ring which can be seen below in a lower resolution. The game will be open to the public.
