Fields Day For Panthers

The University of Pittsburgh's annual Blue-Gold game was a mix of defensive dominance and improved play from some young players who should make an impact this fall, but it did nothing to clear up the Panthers' muddied quarterback situation as the Blue (defense) beat the Gold (offense) 62-48 thanks to a modified scoring system.

Junior Bill Stull completed just 8 of 18 passes for 89 yards with one interception and three sacks, while redshirt freshman Kevan Smith was 11-for-22 for 113 yards and one 16-yard score to redshirt sophomore wideout Marcel Pestano near the end.
