Aliquippa standout LB talks PITT

The University of Pittsburgh is in the process of amassing another top recruiting class. One of the top linebackers in the state of Pennsylvania happens to be Brandon Lindsey (6-foot-2 inches, 220 pounds) from Aliquippa High School in Aliquippa, PA. Will the Panthers add another Quip? Read on.

"Right now I have offers from Pitt, Ohio State, West Virginia, Connecticut, Boston College and Temple," stated ultra talented linebacker Brandon Lindsey. "I can't say I have a favorite school right now but the Panthers are up at the top for me. They are my hometown school and I some friends on their roster."

Lindsay had an outstanding junior year. On offense, he rushed for 1,234 yards and scored 19 touchdowns as a junior. He registered 92 tackles, 11 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries on defense.

Aliquippa High School is a relatively small school known for producing a myriad of outstanding football players. The pipeline between the University of Pittsburgh and "The Quips" has been well documented. When asked if he thought about continuing the pipeline to Pitt, he quickly stated, "Yes, part of me thinks about it. Aliquippa players have gone there and they have been treated well."

"Darrelle Revis and Tommie Campbell have been on me to commit. It's nice knowing they are both there. If I commit to Pitt, I would be playing with Tommy for a while."

Lindsay earned first team All-Conference on offense and defense as a junior. He was named honorable mention All-State as well. Brandon is capable of running a 4.6 forty-yard dash. He plays running back; linebacker and nose tackle for the Quips.

When asked what he was looking for in the school of his choice, he stated, "I want to go to a school with a chance of winning the nation championship. They have to have a winning tradition. Playing time is important to me as well."

"I know Pitt loses three or four linebackers after the season. There's a possibility I could get there and play quickly."

"I'm going to make a few more visits and possibly make a decision before the season. Right now I'll probably go back to Pitt, West Virginia and Ohio State."
