Jared martin almost committed to Pittsburgh
back in September when he ventured to oakland for his official visit. he decided however to abide by his mother's wishes and take other visits. Now almost three months later Pitt is still at the top of the list.
"Right now it's Pitt and Arizona State," Martin said. "Those two have an advantage over Minnesota because I haven't seen them yet."
Martin is visiting the Gopher's this weekend. He has also visited Arizona State and Colorado. The three star defensive tackle is unsure if he'll take a fifth and final visit.
"I'm not sure yet, I plan on deciding either by the end of December or early January."
Martin was impressed by a visitor he had on Thursday.
"Coach Partridge from Pitt came down here. It went great, my parent's really like him. He came prepared and had a very good presentation."
The Panthers are trying to upgrade their defensive line which was a weak spot for them this season. Dave Wannstedt has already received commitments from defensive tackles Jason Pinkston, John Malecki, and Scott Corson.
Charlie Partridge has developed a reputation as one of the strongest closers on the Panthers staff. Partridge was in Davie, Fla and the home of Jared Martin on Thursday evening, did he close the deal?
