"I'm taking night classes at Keystone Oaks right now," Harvey said. "I'm probably going to end up playing at Pitt, hopefully."
Harvey was close to heading to New Berlin, N.Y. to enroll at the Milford Academy prep school, but his injury prevented that. Now, Harvey will work to fulfill his high school graduation requirements.
"If everything works out the way I hope, I'll be playing for Pitt, maybe in January," he said.
We have all heard many David Harvey stories in the past, he was rumored to be heading to Kiski Prep and then to Penn State, he was supposedly destined for Morgantown to join former teammate Ed Collington.
After speaking with Harvey on Friday night, you could tell he is as focused right now as he has ever been. He seem's bound and determined to play major college football. We will continue to follow this story as it develops and see if Harvey can get his academic requirements finished and enroll in school. No one has ever doubted Harvey as an athlete, he is arguably one of the most talented players to come out of the WPIAL ranks in recent memory.
