To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade-point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. A student-athlete in graduate school must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average.

Pitt's 2013 ACC All-Academic Football Team honorees are redshirt freshman offensive lineman Adam Bisnowaty, freshman tight end Scott Orndoff, senior quarterback Tom Savage, junior defensive back Ray Vinopal, freshman defensive back Terrish Webb and senior punter Matt Yoklic.

Bisnowaty (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) is enrolled in Pitt's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. He was a starting left offensive tackle for the Panthers this past season.

Orndoff (Waynesburg, Pa./Seton-LaSalle) is enrolled in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. As a true freshman, he was a prominent contributor at tight end and had six receptions for 50 yards with two touchdowns.

Savage (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), a communication and economics major, threw for 2,958 yards and 21 touchdowns as the Panthers' starting quarterback. His passing yardage ranks fifth on Pitt's single-season list.

Vinopal (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney), a finance major, was Pitt's second-leading tackler last season with 83 stops. He led the Panthers in interceptions with three and ranked second with six pass breakups.

Webb (Clairton, Pa./Clairton) is enrolled in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. He played in all 13 games as a true frosh, earning a starting assignment at safety in Pitt's 30-27 win over Bowling Green in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Webb totaled 18 tackles and a fumble recovery on the year.
