SPK Law became the lone 3-0 team in the Pittsburgh Basketball Club Pro-Am league, with a 96-79 win over Oliverio's Peppers.
Lamar Patterson led the way with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. His performance, combined with Mike Young's 14 points and seven rebounds was impressive, but still not enough as Oliverio's Peppers held a 44-34 edge on the boards.
Also finishing in double-figures for SPK Law was Youngston State's Shawn Amiker and Kendrick Perry, each with 15. Robert Morris' Anthony Myers-Pate added 12.
Patterson was impressive from three-point range, converting four of five attempts from beyond the arc.Pitt's Chris Jones finished with 12, in the loss for Oliverio's Peppers.
The Lair 100 UPMC 92
The Lair improved to 2-0 with a 100-92 win over UPMC.
The Lair, the lone team in the league without a Pitt player, had five players in double-figures, led by Duquesne's Ovie Soko who had 30.
The Lair shot a collective 43-86 (50%) from the field, while holding a 41-29 edge in rebounding.
South Hills Audi 90 PGT Trucking 83
PGT Trucking got an impressive outing from Pitt's Talib Zanna--27 points and 11 rebounds--but it wasn't enough, as South Hills Audi held on for a 90-83 win.
South Hills Audi had the top scorer for the night, Cornell's Nolan Cressler, who finished with 38 points on 14-20 (60%) shooting.
