Report: Jets avoid Revis' camp at the Combine

The drama continues between Darrelle Revis' agents and the Jets' front office, this time the scene shifted to the NFL's Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The New York Daily News reported Tuesday that general manager John Idzik, coach Rex Ryan and owner Woody Johnson"avoided" communication with Revis's camp over the last week despite the sides being "separated by three tenths of a mile" in Indianapolis while the NFL Scouting Combine commenced.

The Combine is a popular meeting spot for teams and agents, as it has everyone in one place just a few weeks before free agency. Revis is set to hit free agency at the end of the 2013 season, and if the Jets don't extend him before then, he'll hit the open market and go to the highest bidder.

Ryan refuted reports that the Jets were shopping Revis as of last week, though Gang Green might be just as well served getting something for him now, if the return is reasonable, since they won't be able to afford him in a year. Recommended Stories
