The University of Louisville football program hosted what could be described as the most impressive group of Junior Day visitors on Saturday afternoon with prospects attending from numerous states.
Charlie Strong and his staff were prepared to maximize the opportunity to pitch the Cardinals program and the reaction from the prospects has been extremely positive.
"I absolutely loved it," said Ft. Thomas (Ky) Highlands tight end Nick True.
Included in the Junior Day itinerary was attending the men's basketball game, touring campus and learning more about what the program and university have to offer.
Trinity quarterback and U of L commit Reggie Bonnafon was equally impressed saying that his experience was "more than I expected."
While football was certainly discussed, the Cardinals coaching staff emphasized the importance of academics and attaining their degree.
"Academics were mentioned more than any other place I have been," said Fishers, Ind., offensive lineman Drew Broughton.
Cardinal Authority has spoken with many of the prospects and continues to provide updates as they happen on each in the Insiders Forum, including news of scholarship offers, prospect quotes and more.
