Shakir Soto comes to Pitt after being named a two-time All-State Class AA selection by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers. In 2012, he was the Wyoming Valley Conference Football Coaches Association Small School Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, he racked up 109 tackles, 13.5 sacks and six fumble. As a junior, he had 114 tackles and nine sacks, compiling 52 sacks for his career.
