Dontez Ford transferred out of Syracuse at the end of the season, and is now enrolled at Pitt where he will be able to participate in spring drills.

Dontez Ford says he's excited to be back at home, and also says that's all there is to his transfer out of Syracuse and into Pittsburgh.

Ford talks about his decision process, when he decided to make the move, and talks about how excited he is to switch to the offensive side of the ball.

Surprisingly, he says joining former Sto-Rox teammate Deaysean Rippy had very little to do with him transferring. In fact, he says Rippy found out about his transfer about the same time the rest of us did.

As a senior at Sto-Roz in 2011, he helped the Vikings get to the WPIAL Championship game. He joins the program as a walk-on, meaning he will pay his own way for the time being. He could be put on scholarship once he is eligible to play, which will be in 2014.
