Pitt's 55 points were the most scored in a game since a 1999 win over Temple, yet they also got a 344-yard passing performance out of Tino Sunseri and a career-day from Mike Shamnahan.

The offense produced 626 total yards and the defense forced three turnovers. Pitt evened its overall record at 2-2 on the season, but head coach Paul Chryst says there's still improvement to be made. One key area he is referring to is penalties, where Pitt committed 9 for a total of 77 yards.
