Keystone's Chase Clowser offered by Pitt

La Grange (Keystone) offensive tackle Chase Clowser says he favors a Big East school and he could decide before the start of the season.

"Right now I have an offer from Pittsburgh," said offensive lineman Chase Clowser.

"My favorites are Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Boston College, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia.

"I like Pittsburgh a lot. Coach (Walt) Harris is a great guy and they have an up and coming program."

Clowser, a 6-foot-8, 320-pounder, from La Grange (Ohio) Keystone will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003.

Chase was named all-county as a junior, he will play on both sides of the ball in 2003 but projects as an offensive tackle at the next level.

Clowser says he could make a decision before the start of the season which would put the Panthers directly in the drivers seat.
