Overall, Saturday's scrimmage was a win for the defense. The offense did rebound in the second half of the scrimmage with five touchdowns.

The defense made it nearly impossible for the offense to move the ball in the first half of Saturday's scrimmage, pitching a shutout, and holding the first and second-team offense without a touchdown through each of their respective four series. Credit a strong group effort from the defensive line, and the return of Shane Gordon--who was active in stopping the run.

The offense rebounded with five touchdowns in the second half, including runs from Isaac Bennett and Desmond Brown. Tino Sunseri connected on touchdown passes to Chris Wuestner. Bennett and a 30-yarder to Josh Brinson.

Kevin Harper connected on 4-5 field goal attempts, including a long of 42 on the day.

We'll have more from today's scrimmage later this afternoon.
