Conner Makes It 15

James Conner picked up a Pitt offer after the first prospect camp. He informed the Pitt coaches of his decision Monday night.

Pittsburgh added Luke Maclean on Sunday night, then followed it up by adding McDowell (PA) standout James Conner on Monday night. Conner's commitment now gives the Panthers 15 commitments for the 2013 recruiting class.

Both players should be able to help build numbers at either linebacker or defensive end going forward. Conner--a 6-2, 220-pound standout--finished with 12 sacks last year, and will be the Trojans' every-down running back this season.

Conner came to the Pitt prospect camp on June 8, and picked up an offer after the workout. He worked with both the defensive ends and linebackers.

Stay tuned for more from Conner and McDowell head coach Mark Soboleski. Recommended Stories
