Williams Out For Remainder Of Spring

K'Waun Williams started all 13 games at corner as a sophomore in 2011, finishing third on the team with 64 tackles.

Paul Chryst got a small dose of bad news on Thursday when it was revealed that cornerback will be sidelined for the remainder of spring drills.

Williams was held out of practice Tuesday after going through the first seven spring practices. Thursday after practice, Chryst said he would have an update on Williams' status. It's not all bad news for Williams, as it sounds like a maintenance type of surgery, and he will be back for training camp.

Thursday afternoon, the university released the following statement.

"K'waun had Wednesday surgery on his left knee to correct a pre-existing ligament injury. While he will miss the balance of spring, he is expected to be fully ready to go for training camp."
