Adams Dismissed From Team

Kevin Adams

Kevin Adams played on both sides of the ball in his three years with the Pitt program. He made his first career start against Utah two weeks ago, and played in all eight games this season.

Pitt announced on Friday afternoon that redshirt sophomore linebacker Kevin Adams has been dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons.

Adams had bounced back and forth between offense and defense during his Pitt career. He was a fullback in his true freshman year, then moved over to linebacker for his redshirt freshman year. He played in 11 games last year, making eight tackles on special teams.

Adams moved back to offense this season, at the three-back (hybrid tight end/fullback) position. He stayed there through the first half of the season, before moving back to linebacker. He made his first career start at Spur linebacker for the Utah game, in the absence of Todd Thomas. He finished with eight tackles and 2.5 tackles for losses. Against UConn—just two days ago—he finished with one tackle in a reserve role. Recommended Stories
