Bishop McDevitt linebacker Brock Dean visited Pitt earlier this week, and received an offer from the Panthers.

Brock Dean told Panther Digest on Tuesday that he would look to make his college decision before his senior season. Thursday morning, Bishop McDevitt athletic director Tommy Mealy announced that Dean will end his recruitment Friday.

Dean will hold a press conference at the Manada Golf Course in Grantville, PA, Friday at noon. Dean's announcement will be held in conjunction with the annual Bishop McDevitt Golf Tournament.

The 6-1, 210-pound linebacker is expected to choose between Pitt and Maryland. He has been to Maryland the most of any of his schools, while Pitt has made up considerable ground in a short period of time, capped off by a verbal offer on Tuesday of this week.

Dean finished his junior season with 93 tackles, including 18 for a loss. He also returned an interception for a touchdown, had four forced fumbles and four pass breakups. He went on to earn all-conference and all-state honors as well.
