Another Look At Pitt For Davis

Demitrious Davis

This time around, Demitrious Davis and his brother Chris wanted a look at academics in their latest visit to Pitt. Saturday's visit also gave them the chance to watch Pitt coaches in action, in their first prospect camp.

Demitrious Davis took his fourth unofficial visit to Pitt over the last three months. This time, it was him, his twin brother Chris Davis and teammate William Mahone getting a chance to watch the Pitt coaches in action. Pitt held its first prospect camp of the summer on Saturday.

"I just wanted to come out to the camp and watch," Davis said. "I always like watching Coach (Michael) Norvell coach. I just came out here to watch him coach the receivers a little bit; Just coming back here and visiting the coaches and seeing everything."

Davis added that getting a chance to get caught up with Norvell, assistant coach Tony Gibson and head coach Todd Graham adds another element.

"They make it feel like home," Davis said. "It makes it feel like family when you come back here. That's what I like. It's a good sight, seeing (the coaches). If I make the decision to come here, that's who you'll have to be with."

Davis hesitated from naming a favorite, or even a top five, but it's obvious on many levels that he likes the Panthers.

"I really don't have a top (school) right now," Davis said. "I like Pitt a lot. (Saturday), I basically accomplished everything I needed to. I saw the campus. That's what I came here to see. I don't really need to see much more."

As for future plans, it is possible for Demitrious and his brother to go out and look at other schools, but nothing has been set up yet.

"Right now, I have nothing scheduled," Davis added. "I am planning on making some more visits."

There's a hope that both he and his brother could have a decision before the start of their football season. However, if they need more time to make it official, they plan to use their time wisely.

"I might want to commit before the season, but I'm not really sure right now," Davis said. "Whenever I feel is best, then that's when we'll do it."
