Coatesville's Kyle Kerrick was an all-area and all-league selection at receiver this past season after catching 30 passes for 500 yards and 11 touchdowns. Coming off that successful junior season, Kerrick has already picked up two junior day invites.
"I'm going to UConn on Saturday for their junior day, and March 5 I'll be up at Pitt," Kerrick said.
It will be his first visit to UConn, but it will already be his third visit to Pittsburgh. Kerrick was invited to Pitt for a couple games this past fall under Dave Wannstedt's coaching staff, and recently, Todd Graham's staff has renewed that interest with him.
"I've been to a couple of their games already, but this is my first basketball game," Kerrick said. "When the new coaching staff came in, I wasn't too sure if I was going to hear from them, but my coach contacted me and told me they saw my highlight video, so they invited me to junior day."
Relieved to hear from Pitt again, Kerrick already has a good idea of what Pitt is about, as he looks forward to learning more about the Panthers.
"I just like the atmosphere, and all that," Kerrick said. "I like the area, the Pittsburgh area is real good. The atmosphere on the field, all the fans, everyone around there seems more down to earth."
Kerrick will be joined by teammates Manny Stocker and Dae Hon Cheung at Pitt's junior day. He has also been invited to the Nike Training Camp in State College, which will be held the last weekend of April.
